For the love of travel

Saturday, Jan 14.

Oh, the things you do for some world experience.

Our 10-hour flight from New Zealand to Malaysia passed by in a jiffy – we fit in four good movies and two sub-par airline meals.

When we got to Kuala Lumpur for our layover, the only hotel in the airport was fully booked. So Matt and I slept on benches in an empty wing of the airport.

It was a sad sight.

I was sporting some fuzzy blue socks and had drool streaming down my face, with my mouth guard in. Matt was trying to bury his arms inside his t-shirt because it was so cold.

When some lady sat down on my legs, my nap was over. I woke up at 5 a.m. to a line of people staring at us.

Because it was so early, nothing in the airport was open except for Duty Free.

So naturally, I bought three delicious chocolate bars.

It’s going to take a lot of yoga to work off all this travelling.

  1. Mario and I are loving your blogs! Although sometimes it takes me awhile to catch up … I start seeing things like Bali on Facebook and think oh crap, what have I missed! Good for you guys in continuing your traveling dreams … can’t wait to read more!

  2. Thanks Katie 🙂 It’s nice to know I’m not just writing it for me. It’s so hard to update it when we jump from place to place, all with poor internet connections. But we’ve got a good connection now, so I’ll be sure to update it asap. Especially since everyone loves hearing about Bali thanks to Eat Pray Love!
